The project consists of improvements to the Meadowview Pumping Station. The work generally includes, but is not limited to: demolition of the existing pumping station and appurtenances; installation of a proposed emergency generator; installation of a proposed electrical kiosk; installation of a proposed package suction lift pumping station and precast concrete wet well; installation of associated gravity sewer manholes and sewer; reconnection to the existing force main; associated site work; and any other work as described in the contract documents. Separate bids will be received for General Construction and Electrical Construction. Bid security in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond is required in an amount not less than 10%. Prospective bidders must comply with all state antibid-rigging regulations and submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid. Compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act and submission of a Public Works Employment Verification Form is required. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies. All bids must be irrevocable for 60 days after bid opening unless specified otherwise by law.
