Question Deadline 04/03/2026 Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to Greg Kennedy at Okeechobee Utility Authority 100 SW 5th Ave, Okeechobee, Florida, 34974 (email asstexecdir @ouafl.com) and, to be given consideration, must be received at least five days prior to the date of the opening of bids. A. Work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing materials, equipment, and labor for the construction of the Okeechobee Utility Authority Septic to Sewer Project located in the VPS #5 Group G, as shown in the drawings and described in the Specifications B. The project shall consist of, but not be limited to, the follows: The installation and construction of sanitary sewer laterals extending from the existing house sewer connection on private property to the right-of-way where the contractor shall connect into the existing 4-inch sewer lateral. The project consists of abandonment of the existing on-site septic tanks and the installation of the proposed 4-inch diameter SDR 35 PVC sewer laterals and clean-outs that will connect from the residence and extend across the property towards the right-of-way and connect into the existing sewer lateral. C. Site Restoration: The contractor shall restore the residential property after installation of the proposed sewer lateral and the decommissioning of the septic tank. Sod all disturbed areas, replace any plants or shrubs that may be damaged in the process. If the drive ways are disturbed repair as indicated in the bid forms bid items a, b, and c in section 00410 D. The location of existing septic tank and existing sewer laterals are believed to be reasonably correct but are not guaranteed to be absolute and therefore are presented only as an approximation. The existing sewer connections are shown in the back of the properties where most of the existing septic tanks are located however it may be possible to connect the proposed sewer lateral in the front of the property if the homes plumbing allows this and as allowed by code. E. Errors or discrepancies in the data shown or omissions of data required for accurately accomplishing the stakeout survey shall be referred immediately to the OWNER for interpretation or correction. F. Survey work for construction control processes shall be made by the CONTRACTOR at his expense. The work consists of providing all materials, equipment, and labor for the construction of the Okeechobee Utility Authority VPS #5 Group G Septic to Sewer Project. The contractor is responsible for installing 4-inch diameter PVC sewer laterals, decommissioning onsite residential septic tanks, connecting into the existing sewer lateral located at the right-of-way of each residence, and restoration of the work area. Bidders must confine their bids to the project in its entirety, as partial bids will not be considered. Each bidder must submit evidence of licensing or qualification, a sealed bid marked appropriately, and a certified check or acceptable bid bond equal to at least five percent of the bid amount as a guarantee. The awarded contractor will be required to provide performance and payment surety bonds equal to one hundred percent of the contract price within ten days after the contract award. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities, delete any portion of the project, extend the project within the limits of the work, and reject any or all bids.
