All work is to be completed at specified locations and in the particular form, sizes, dimensions, materials, and to the lines, grades, and elevations shown on the approved plans and specifications. The successful bidder will have one-hundred and fifty (150) consecutive calendar days to substantially complete the project from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference, visit each property with District staff, and provide a site visit affidavit. All work must comply with California Labor Code requirements regarding apprentices, workers’ compensation, record keeping, wage rates, and public works registration. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Instructions to bidders include: Bids must be submitted under sealed cover and accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. The successful bidder must execute the contract and provide required bonds and insurance policies within ten (10) days of notification of award. All addenda issued during bidding must be included in the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after opening.
