Beaver County is seeking quotes for the provision and application of portland cement for road construction. Suppliers are to supply and apply Portland Cement conforming to CAN/CSA-A3000 – 18 GUL with a minimum of 13% inter-ground limestone content. The requirements include the supply and application of up to 3,943 metric tonnes of portland cement, and supplying the labour and equipment necessary to place the material on the road surface using an all-terrain spreader capable of rate accuracy plus or minus 1%, with the ability to monitor wheel speed and ground radar to ensure accurate spreading. Alternatively, at least three trucks with spreader bars may be used. All application must be completed by 8:00 am each morning, with at least 126 metric tonnes applied per day.
