The work is located at 2621 Thatcher Avenue, the Village Hall parking lot in the Village of River Grove. The scope of work includes earth excavation, pavement removal, removal and replacement of curb and gutter, sidewalks, PCC driveway pavement installation, aggregate base course for stormwater runoff storage installation, permeable brick pavers, landscape restoration, and other related work. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. All bidders must be approved by the Village prior to obtaining bidding documents and must provide proof of prequalification with the Illinois Department of Transportation to perform at least 50% of the value of the work. The Contractor and Subcontractor must comply with all regulations issued pursuant to the Prevailing Wage Act and other applicable Federal Laws and labor standards. The successful bidder must furnish sufficient insurance to the Village of River Grove and the Engineer, as well as a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to the contract amount. The successful bidder will be required to include sub-contracts to Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) and/or Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and subcontracts to Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (VBE).
