This project includes the replacement of approximately 55 lead water services in the Village of River Grove at the following locations Oak Street from Herrick Avenue to Grand Avenue Maple Street from Fullerton Avenue to Herrick Avenue Thatcher Avenue from Fullerton Avenue to Greenwood Terrace These improvements will include the installation of Type K copper water services from the existing water main to the new curb stop (roundway complete with box) and from the new curb stop to the existing water meter located inside building. The work will also entail removal and disposal of driveway pavement, sidewalk pavements, roadway pavement removal, capping trenches with temporary asphalt in roadway pavements, landscape restoration and any other work related to the project. No questions or clarifications regarding the contract documents will be allowed after 5:00 P.M, Monday, the 23rd of February 2026. The work includes the replacement of existing lead water services with copper water services from the existing water main to the water meter located inside individual residences via directional bore. There are 55 water services to be replaced on private property. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount not less than five percent of the total proposal. Bidders must be approved by the Village before obtaining bidding documents. The successful bidder must furnish sufficient insurance, a Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract. The contractor and subcontractor must comply with all regulations issued pursuant to the Prevailing Wage Act and other applicable federal laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The Village reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids.
