The project includes the construction of a new three-story, 277,000 square foot middle school with associated site work. Separate, sealed bids will be received for the following Prime Contracts: General Construction, Site Construction, Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Construction, Plumbing Construction, Electrical Construction, Fire Protection Construction, and Food Service Construction. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the Bidder and marked “Park Forest Middle School New Construction.” Each bid must include bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount and all alternate bid amounts in the form of a Bid Bond. Successful bidders must provide Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled by the Bidder for sixty (60) calendar days following the bid opening date, except as provided by law. The Owner reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities. To obtain bidding documents, bidders are required to submit a written request including mailing address, representative’s name, telephone number, facsimile number, email address, and the specific contracts requested. Bidding documents may be obtained electronically at no cost or in hard copy for a nonrefundable fee. This project is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry’s Prevailing Wage Pre-Determination. Corporations not organized under Pennsylvania law must secure certification to conduct business within the Commonwealth.
