Site work for a fire / police facility in Newton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.

Sealed bids are invited for proposed site improvements to Firehouse #1 in the Town of Newton. The principal items of work to be constructed and their approximate quantities include: removal of pavement (1,600 square yards), removal of concrete curb (665 linear feet), installation of hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course, 2" thick (200 tons), construction of a landscape retaining wall (385 square feet), installation of 9" x 18" concrete curb (720 linear feet), street light foundations, lights and luminaires (2 units), and concrete stairs and railing (lump sum), in addition to other items. Bid packages are available electronically at no charge or by mail for a fee, upon contacting the Engineer. Prospective bidders must reserve bidding documents, plans, and specifications at least twenty-four hours or one business day in advance. Bids must be submitted on the designated Standard Proposal Forms and enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the bidder's name, address, and the project name, addressed to the Town Manager for the Town of Newton and marked accordingly. Each bid must be accompanied by a notarized Non Collusion Affidavit, Consent of Surety, Disclosure Statement, Bid Checklist (Administrative Documents), a Certified Check or Bid Bond for at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount (not exceeding $20,000 or less than $500), a Business Registration Certificate for both the bidder and any proposed subcontractors, a Statement of Corporate Ownership, a listing of Subcontractors as required, and an acknowledgment of receipt of any notices of revision or addenda, if applicable. The delivery of the bid proposal is the bidder's responsibility. Compliance with provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and requirements regarding nondiscrimination and affirmative action is required. The Town Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof. The work under this item shall include the initial services and facilities required to enable the Contractor to commence work on the project and to vacate the site upon completion of the work Question Deadline 03/06/2026 If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Plans, Specifications or other proposed contract documents, he may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery and to be considered must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date set for the opening of bids
