Reference Number 0000412824 Furnish all labor, material and equipment to remove and replace the existing 36-inch gate valve and all appurtenances from the western raw water intake pipe located in the wet well of the water plant's low lift building and remove and replace the associated actuator. Complete the work for full valve operation per plans and specifications. Provide an alternate cost to furnish all labor, material, and equipment to remove, rebuild and reinstall the gate valve and remove and replace the actuator. A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates. The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any defects or irregularities in the proposal, and to accept any proposal which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. City reserves the right to award the base bid, alternate No. 1 or a combination thereof.
