The project consists of the installation of approximately 850 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE storm sewer piping, 225 linear feet of 15-inch HDPE storm sewer piping, and 50 linear feet of 18-inch HDPE storm sewer piping along Swett Hill Road. It also includes the improvement of two culvert pipes and the installation of catch basins, storm sewer manholes, and appurtenances as specified in the contract documents. The work is subject to an Order of Conditions issued by the Sterling Conservation Commission and must be performed in accordance with its requirements. The work requires furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the work as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified or implied. The owner reserves the right to eliminate or add sections of the work as determined to stay within available funds or as a basis of award. Each bid must include a Bid Bond, Cash, Certified Check or Treasurer's or Cashier's Check in the amount of five percent of the submitted bid as Bid Security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds each in the full amount of the contract. Attention is called to minimum wage rate requirements, contract payment methods, and relevant Massachusetts General Laws. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and limit the extent of work to stay within available funds. The Work of this Contract is located in Sterling, Massachusetts on Swett Hill Road and along North Cover Road and Hall Avenue. 2. The work shall include but not necessarily be limited to providing all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to provide the following: a. 12-inch HDPE storm sewer piping. b. 15-inch HDPE storm sewer piping. c. 18-inch HDPE storm sewer piping d. And 24-inch HDPE storm sewer piping along Swett Hill Road. e. Install two stormwater detention basins with HDPE wick drains including all earthwork grading and impervious core along Swett Hill Road. f. Furnish and install catch basins, drain manholes including ones 9 ft to 14 ft in depth, flared ends, rip rap and appurtenances. g. Required road reconstruction includes temporary trench and permanent trench paving restoration. 3. Work subject to an Order of Conditions issued by the Sterling Conservation Commission.
