The City of Waterbury is seeking proposals from qualified third parties for HVAC and electrical service upgrades at the Washington Park Community Center. The scope of work includes providing all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary for the project. Specifically, the scope of work involves: - Installing a new pad/grade mounted packaged rooftop unit with energy recovery and natural gas heating to serve the gymnasium and stage. Supply and return ductwork will be routed exposed within the space, and electronic controls for the rooftop unit will be localized within the gymnasium. - Installing variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems in the basement and first-floor lobbies, offices, and activity areas, with each occupied space to have a wall-mounted evaporator unit sized per computed HVAC loads. The VRF system will have exterior heat pump units connected to the indoor wall-mounted units. Proposers must be experienced, have a proven track record of meeting project budgets and timelines, and have adequate staff, knowledge of relevant regulations, and capacity to perform the work. All proposals must be submitted in the required format, including specific documents and forms. Attendance and sign-in at a mandatory information session is required for eligibility to submit a proposal. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered.
