Renovation of a multi-residential development in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Lead Hazard Reduction and Healthy Homes Intervention at 208 Buckingham Street includes work associated with lead hazard reduction and healthy homes. Two separate bids are required. Bids must be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope, clearly marked with the project title and bidder's name and address. Each bid of $50,000 or more must include bid security equal to 10% of the total bid price. For contracts greater than $50,000, a 100% performance bond is required and, at the city's discretion, a 100% payment bond and/or additional security may also be required, all with a surety company and form acceptable to the city. Complete instructions for filing bids are provided. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference at the project site is required for all bidders. Contractors must be familiar with and knowledgeable of all applicable Federal and State statutes, laws, and regulations relevant to the services provided, including HUD's Lead Safe Housing Rule 24 CFR Part 35 Subpart R, HUD's Guidelines for the Evaluation & Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Housing, EPA's rule on Lead-Based Paint Poisoning Prevention 40 CFR Part 745, and 2CFR Part 200: Uniform Administrative Requirements for Federal Awards.
