The scope is to furnish supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, and material to mill and replace driveway paving at Substation 66 at 9655 Winchester Rd., Substation 68 at 10600 US-70, Arlington, and Substation 85 at 10512 US-64, Lakeland. All work must be performed in strict accordance with the Contract Documents, Specifications, and Drawings. Bidders who have been terminated by MLGW within the last three years for breach of contract or failure to perform milling and/or asphalt paving services are not eligible. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory site visit. All written inquiries must be submitted as specified. During solicitation, bidders shall not contact MLGW staff other than those designated. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by relevant Tennessee law. The required contractor's classification for this project shall be BC, BC-B, MU-D, or any Tennessee-approved applicable contractor's license. If the bid is under $25,000, the project is exempt from mandatory licensing, but "Exempt from licensing requirement" must be indicated on the envelope. All sealed bids, bid bonds, bidder's qualifications, and completed bid envelopes must be received by the Contracts Management Office by the specified deadline, and only hard copy submissions will be accepted. Performance and payment bonds are required from the successful bidder prior to contract execution. MLGW reserves the right to reject bids, waive minor irregularities, and accept any bid or part thereof deemed most favorable.
