The scope of work is the Novato Charter School Reroofing Project. Each bid must be completed on the Bid Proposal Form included in the Contract Documents and must fully conform to this invitation, the plans and specifications, and all other Contract Documents. All bidders must submit their bids in accordance with the instructions provided, which include requirements for a bid security in the form of cash, cashier's or certified check, or a bidder's bond of not less than ten percent of the maximum bid amount. The successful bidder must comply with Labor Code provisions related to prevailing wages and apprenticeships, and is responsible for any rate changes. Bids must list subcontractors performing work exceeding one-half of one percent of the bid price and describe their work. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty days after bid opening. Participation by minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors is encouraged. The project is subject to prevailing wage law, and bidders and subcontractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders must have a valid California State Contractor's License, classification B, at the time the bid is awarded. Attendance at a mandatory bidders' conference at the project site is required for all prospective bidders.
