Romulus Community Schools is seeking sealed proposals from qualified vendors to provide, install, configure, and commission upgraded video intercom and access control systems across multiple district facilities. The work includes replacing legacy intercom systems with IP-based video intercoms, integrating video feeds into the existing Avigilon ACC Video Management System, expanding and enhancing door access control functionality, improving front office visibility, communication, and control, and ensuring system reliability, security, and long-term supportability. Vendors shall provide all labor, materials, programming, testing, and documentation necessary for the completion of the project, including furnishing and installing IP video door intercoms and master stations, integrating all intercom video feeds with Avigilon ACC VMS, providing all required cabling, programming door release functionality and access control logic, coordinating with District IT and Security staff, testing all systems, and providing staff orientation. There are also specific requirements for each district facility, such as the quantity and placement of intercoms, master stations, and associated access control hardware and licensing. Proposals must include an executive summary, detailed technical approach, scope compliance statement, itemized pricing, project timeline, vendor qualifications and references, and warranty and support details. Proposals may be submitted electronically or in sealed hard copy as instructed. Vendors must demonstrate experience with K–12 or public-sector security system installations, proper licensing in Michigan, relevant certifications, experience with Avigilon ACC systems, adequate staffing, and the ability to provide references. The selected vendor must provide a minimum three-year hardware/firmware and one-year labor warranty, carry specified insurances, and deliver all device inventory, licenses, configuration backups, credentials, and as-built drawings upon project completion.
