Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Elkhart, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This public works project consists of the removal of existing non-compliant concrete curb ramps, curb and gutter, and portions of sidewalk, and the construction of new ADAcompliant curb ramps in accordance with the Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) - The installation of concrete pedestrian push-button pedestals, thermoplastic striping and signage will be included in the reconstruction of specified curb ramps. Remove non-compliant curb ramps, curb & gutter, and portions of sidewalk in order to install ADA compliant curb ramps according to the Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG). Project locations are specific scattered sites throughout the city. Bids must be submitted on State Board of Accounts 2013 REVISED BID FORM 96, accompanied by a certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Indiana, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by bidder and surety company in an amount not less than five percent of the bid. Any deviation from the bid documents must be explained by the bidder. The Board will award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities, and to reject any and all bids or portions thereof.
