Renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Great Falls, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.

This project consists of the removal and replacement of the timber bridge decking on an approximately 165-foot-long former railroad bridge currently used as a pedestrian walkway. The first 82.5 feet has a clear width of approximately 10 feet and the second 82.5 feet has a clear width of approximately 12 feet. Work includes demolition and replacement of timber deck planks, replacement of existing edge boards/curbs (rim boards), replacement of existing curb fasteners (side pins), and removal and reinstallation of the existing railing system. Bidders must provide a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Successful bidders must furnish an approved Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Contractors and all subcontractors must be licensed to perform work in the City of Great Falls prior to contract award. All laborers and mechanics must be paid wages as required by local and state law. Contractors must ensure nondiscrimination in employment. The City of Great Falls reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, postpone the award for up to sixty days, and accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the City’s best interests.
