The work consists of installation of 20,070 cubic yards of earthwork embankment, 22,200 cubic yards of earthwork excavation and removal, 230 linear feet of 30-inch concrete pipe, 240 linear feet of 12-inch PVC outlet piping, installation of infiltration barrier, installation of outlet and overflow structures, removal of concrete structures, appurtenances, concrete forebay slab installation, gravel roadway installation, chain link fencing, grass surface restoration, and miscellaneous items. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the City of Great Falls in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Successful bidders must provide a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond, each at one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, as well as required insurance and proof of contractor licensing within the City of Great Falls. All contractors and subcontractors must register with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry prior to contract execution. Wages must comply with local and state law, and employment practices must not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bids may not be withdrawn after the scheduled opening time. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, postpone the award up to sixty days, and accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
