Batavia Park District will receive sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide Prescribed Burn and Natural Area Maintenance Services for the Batavia Park District. The project includes, but is not limited to: proper implementation of a Prescribed Burn to provide ecological management and control of invasive brush at each designated location in accordance with specifications and Illinois State mandated EPA regulations and multi-jurisdictional community code; and performing essential maintenance of District owned Rain gardens by mechanically and chemically removing woody and herbaceous invasive plants with the intent to improve the health, working conditions, and appearance of each area. Bidding documents will be available by email only. Bid proposals shall be plainly marked “Natural Area Maintenance/Prescribed Burn Bid” and marked “DO NOT OPEN” and be addressed to Ms. Kim Hansen at Batavia Park District 327 West Wilson St. Batavia IL 60510. Electronic submittals will not be accepted. The Owner encourages minority business firms to submit bids and the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors and suppliers for labor, equipment, and services. The Batavia Park District reserves the right to reject any and/or all bid proposals or to accept any proposal which, in its judgment, will be to the best interest of the public, or to waive any informalities in bidding. Only bids in compliance with the provisions of the Contract Documents will be considered. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of forty-five days after the date of opening.
