CONSTRUCT NEW ADDITIONS- ADDITION A (9,800SF) CONSISTS OF SIX NEW CLASSROOMS AND RELATED SPACES.  ADDITION B (1,850 SF) CONSISTS OF A NEW VOCAL MUSIC ROOM AND CORRIDOR CONNECTION.  RENOVATIONS CONSIST OF: 1.  RE-CONFIGURATIONS TO EXISTING ROOM 43 TO CREATE OFFICES; 2. CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SGI ROOMS IN AREA OF ROOMS 16 AND 17; 3. ENLARGING KINDERGARTEN TOILET ROOMS FOR BARRIER-FREE COMPLANCE; 4.  DEMOLITION OF STORAGE ROOM S2 AT CAFETERIA TO CREATE MORE FLOOR SPACE; 5.  ACOUSTIC IMPROVEMENTS AT GYMNASIUM; 6.  REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED SANITARY LINE; 7.  RENOVATIONS TO KITCHEN SERVING LINE; AND 8. ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AND OTHER RELATED WORK AS NEEDED TO SUPPORT THE RENOVATIONS. Bids are requested for Additions and Renovations to Littlebrook Elementary School, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Bid Documents. The Single Overall Contract (FVHD-5516D) requires the bidder to be classified in the DPMC: C008 or C009 Prime Contractor category, with C029, C030, C032, C047 Subcontractors. Bid Proposals must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Owner, clearly marked with the contract title and/or bid number. Each proposal must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the Owner equal to 10% of the bid amount (not exceeding $20,000), and a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the surety to provide statutory performance and payment bonds in the full contract amount. The Consent of Surety must be from an approved surety company authorized in New Jersey. If the bid exceeds $20,000, bidders must be prequalified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction in the classifications listed. All bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and present current certificates. Bidders on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended, or Disqualified Bidders are ineligible. All contractors and subcontractors must provide a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award. The project is subject to the New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act. The Work consists of but is not limited to the following: 1. All Site Work including indicated parking lot expansion, concrete curbs, 6' high chain link fence, playground pavement, mulch playground w/ timber border, concrete sidewalks, concrete ramp w/ concrete wall & aluminum handrails. 2. New Building Additions: a. Four Classrooms, b. Two Flex Classrooms with Self-Contained Toilet Rooms c. Two Mechanical Rooms and Janitor's Closet, d. Girl's and Boy's Multi-User Toilet Rooms, e. Two Single User Toilet Rooms, f. Vocal Music Room, g. Corridors. 3. Alterations: a. Two Kindergarten Classrooms, b. Library and Staff Offices, c. Vocal Music Room and Gymnasium Storage Rooms. 4. Renovations: a. Cafeteria & Food Service Line, b. Instrumental Music Room. 5. Alterations to existing building at the connection of the new addition(s). 5. All plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. 6. All indicated casework and equipment. 7. All other indicated Work
