Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The site is located along Abner Fork Road Spur 1 (Johnson Coal Hollow) road near the community of Melvin in Floyd County. The citizens residence and yard area are being impacted by eligible mine drainage. This project will install subdrain along the edge of the citizens driveway/yard areas to collect subsurface drainage. Collected drainage will be routed via a drop box into a culvert across the citizen's yard outletting into a concrete block-tied mat ditch. The ditch will conduct drainage down the slope to a new culvert with headwalls crossing Johnson Coal Hollow road and outlet into Abner Fork stream. Estimated Length of Project: (Substantial Completion) + 120 Calendar Days (Final Completion) The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served. Question Deadline 02/27/2026 All questions regarding the meaning or interpretation of the bidding documents shall be directed in writing to the purchasing officer. Unless otherwise specified in the Solicitation, questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of bids may not be answered.
