The Diamondhead Lake Rural Improvement Zone is seeking proposals for the continued dredging of the Southern and Horseshoe Cove basin area(s) of Diamondhead Lake during 2026. The selected vendor will remove silt and perform other associated work at Diamondhead Lake using a dredge, workboats, and other equipment owned by both the Improvement Zone and the bidding vendor. The work is to commence as soon as practical in 2026 and must be completed by no later than November 30, 2026. The vendor will be compensated based on the number of cubic yards dredged each month, with a total removal requirement of not less than 60,000 cubic yards of sediment from the specified areas. Each proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope that prominently bears the words "2026 DREDGING PROPOSAL." No oral, facsimile, telephonic, or electronic proposals will be considered. Late proposals will not be evaluated. Each bidder must accompany their bid with a bid security in a separate envelope, equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check, certified bank share draft, or bid bond with satisfactory corporate surety. Bidders must be prepared to submit a performance bond and payment bond conditioned on the faithful performance of the contract. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, but the owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities or to reject any or all bids. The Diamondhead Lake Rural Improvement Zone (RIZ) is seeking proposals for the continued dredging of the Southern and Horseshoe Cove basin area(s) of Diamondhead Lake during 2026. The selected Vendor, if any, shall remove silt and perform other associated work at Diamondhead Lake using a dredge, workboats and other equipment owned by the RIZ and bidding vendor. Such work shall commence as soon as practical in 2026 and shall be completed by no later than November 30, 2026. The Vendor shall be compensated on the basis of the number of cubic yards dredged during each month related to the total removal of not less than 60,000 cubic yards of sediment from the Southern basin and Horseshoe Cove areas.
