The extent of work for this project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements including establishment and maintenance of native plantings for a period of three years following construction of a stormwater wetland and streambank stabilization along Jordan Creek in Contract 'A', including all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for sediment/erosion control, seed and plant establishment and maintenance within new stormwater facilities. The improvements generally include native seeding and planting, maintaining landscape for three years, and all other associated work to complete the project as noted in the Contract Documents. Bids must be submitted electronically with a scanned copy of the bid bond or a cashier's or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, and the successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and provide a guarantee of maintenance of the improvement in the form of surety for four (4) years from City acceptance. Preference will be given to Iowa-grown products and Iowa domestic labor. All work must be done in strict compliance with the approved Plans and Specifications. Failure to submit a fully completed Bidder Status Form may result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and rejected. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive technicalities or irregularities.
