The project involves the addition of an ice rink at the MidAmerican Energy Company Rec Plex located at 6500 Grand Ave., West Des Moines, IA 50266. The City of West Des Moines has engaged a Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR), Kraus-Anderson, for this project. Addition includes commercial kitchen space, approximately 2,500 fixed seats, 4 luxury suites, locker rooms, open entry atrium, emergency stair wells, elevator, MEFP systems, and connection to the existing building. c. Sitework including site clearing, concrete removal, utility relocation and extension, new parking, site lighting, and landscaping. d. Soil remediation with aggregate piers e. Ice rink and related systems and equipment f. Audio and visual systems, Ephesus sports lighting system, score boards, arena seating, and other arena technology.
