Site work and paving for a road / highway in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project involves the reconstruction of Booneville Road from S. 60th Street to Raccoon River Drive in West Des Moines, Iowa. The work includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for earthwork, paving the roadway, and installing storm sewer. Approximate quantities are 4,500 SY of PCC Pavement, 18,000 CY of earthwork, and 900 LF of storm sewer pipe. All work must be performed in strict compliance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. Instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be submitted electronically using the form provided by the City through wdm.ionwave.net by the specified deadline. - Each proposal must be electronically accompanied by a scanned bid bond or cashier's/certified check from an Iowa or US-chartered bank in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid. Physical copy of the bid security must be submitted by the apparent low bidder within 48 hours of the bid deadline. - The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond for 100% of the contract price and provide a four-year maintenance guarantee. - Preference is given to Iowa products, provisions, and labor, with statutory guidelines for resident and nonresident bidder preference. - Failure to submit a fully completed Bidder Status Form may result in rejection of the bid. - Work must commence within ten days of written notice to proceed and be completed by the specified completion date, with liquidated damages for late completion. - Bidding documents may be obtained from the online bid posting at wdm.ionwave.net.
