The work to be performed includes all general construction, labor, material, tools, equipment, taxes, permits, licenses, insurance, service costs, and any other items incidental to and required for the replacement of Boone County Bridge No. 70, carrying County Road 600 East, over Mounts Run approximately 0.3 miles north of CR 100 N, Boone County, Indiana. Bidders shall ensure they have complete sets of drawings and contract documents and assume all risk for errors or omissions in bids based on incomplete documents. Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the project title, bid opening date, and bidder’s name and address. The bid documents to be submitted shall consist of all documents listed in section 5.3 of the Instruction to Bidders and must include tabs for the Bidder’s Itemized Proposal and Declarations, Bid Bond, and Standard Questionnaire and Financial Statement. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bidder’s Bond, payable to the Boone County Auditor, in the sum of 5% of the total bid amount, as evidence of intent to execute the contract and furnish a performance bond if awarded. Bids must comply with the stated specifications and requirements, and any deviations must be clearly cited and accepted as exceptions. All bids are to be valid for 90 days from opening.
