Renovation of a power facility in Pella, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The general nature of the work consists of upgrading existing generator relaying and control interface, modifying 15 kV switchgear buswork, installation of 15 kV potential transformers, and related work. Work shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract on file at the offices of the Pella municipal utilities. Bidders must submit proposals on a blank form furnished by the City of Pella, with bid security in the amount of ten percent of the bid. Bid security options include a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or Bid Bond, all made payable to the City of Pella. The bid envelope must be clearly marked "BID ENCLOSED - WEST GENERATING PLANT CONTROL UPGRADES." Preference will be given to products, provisions, and labor from Iowa, in accordance with the resident bidder preference law. Bidders are required to furnish an executed Bidder Status Form. Failure to submit a fully completed form may result in rejection of the bid. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for up to thirty days, to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and enter into a contract that is in the best interest of the electric utility.
