Renovation of an educational facility in Lynn, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of May 1, 2026 project is not awarded yet. The City of Lynn is soliciting bids from licensed asbestos abatement contractors for the removal of asbestos-containing material at Fecteau Leary School, 33 North Common Street, Lynn, Massachusetts. The work includes asbestos abatement and related work associated with the removal of existing asbestos floor tiles, floor tile adhesive, insulation at pipe fittings (elbows, valves, tees, etc.), and ceiling tiles on the Ground Floor. The project cost is estimated at $125,000. Work must be completed during school summer closing and finished by July 15, 2026. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "IFB03-656 Fecteau Leary Asbestos Abatement" to the City of Lynn Purchasing Department. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit not less than 5% of the total bid price, in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the City of Lynn. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and make award as may appear in the best interest of the City. Questions must be emailed to purchasing@lynnma.gov with a reference of IFB#03-656 Asbestos Abatement in subject line. Prime Designer or Owner will answer such requests if received before 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 4,2026.
