Sealed bids are requested for the installation of painting at various sites as per provided drawings and specifications. Contractors must attend a mandatory job walk. The time for project completion is 60 calendar days from the notice to proceed or a specified date, whichever is earlier. Bids must be submitted in a sealed format to the specified location prior to the deadline. They must be accompanied by a bidder’s bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Payment (Labor and Material) and Faithful Performance Bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, from an admitted surety. Proof of public liability and property damage insurance is required, each with coverage of at least $2,000,000.00. Contractors must comply with student safety and fingerprinting requirements under Education Code section 45125.2 and provide verification of compliance before work begins. Bidders must comply with labor compliance and prevailing wage laws. Only bids from contractors licensed in California and registered with the Department of Industrial Relations will be accepted. The lowest bid will be determined by the total of the base and all additive/deductive items. The owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the bid opening unless required by law.
