Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clovis, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The construction involves applying 156,156+- square yards of rubberized cape seals and an alternate item of 11,935+- square yards of rubberized cape seals at various local streets as listed in the tables and as outlined on the maps in Appendix II. The rubberized cape seal involves an application of asphalt rubber chip seal and an application of Type II slurry seal at each location. The chip seal binder may contain 100% recycled California waste tires at a minimum of 15% (minimum 300 lbs. per ton) by weight in the asphalt binder. This project also involves 187,453+- square yards of Type II slurry seals at various additional local streets. By Friday, May 15th, 2026 the Contractor shall be responsible for completing site preparation at all participating locations and crack sealing at all participating locations to the satisfaction of the City Public Utilities Department. Failure to comply with site preparation shall result in liquidated damages for each calendar day to the Contract until acceptance of the City, which shall be determined at the discretion of the Engineer; and By Friday, June 26th, 2026, the Contractor shall complete all slurry seals and cape seals within the allowable working days as stated above. Sealing must begin no later than May 15th, 2026 unless approved by the Engineer otherwise. Liquidated damages will be accrued for each calendar day after this deadline, regardless if the delay is caused by weather or by any other reasons.
