The project consists of the following scope of work for the Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of various segments of the sanitary sewer system within the City of Sturgis: Pre-clean, inspect, and re-line 4,148 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer system; 628 feet of 10-inch sanitary sewer system; 366 feet of 12-inch sanitary sewer system; and 820 feet of 15-inch sanitary sewer system. Install 24 each, 8-inch end seals; 4 each, 10-inch end seals; 2 each, 12-inch end seals; and 4 each, 15-inch end seals. Complete 119 service lateral reinstatements and post-installation inspections. Perform traffic control, bypass pumping, and related miscellaneous services required to complete the work. Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and in accordance with the bidding documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bank draft for 5% of the amount bid, or a bid bond for 10% of the amount bid, as a guarantee. Bidders must comply with several federal executive orders and workforce participation goals. The project may be partially funded by ARPA funds. Contractors must ensure compliance with the American Iron and Steel provision and Davis-Bacon Act. All bidders must have a valid South Dakota contractor's license for the full amount of the bid and must enclose a copy of the license or certificate of renewal with the bid bond. Only bids accompanied by the required bid security and license will be considered. The contractor must demonstrate successful completion of similar municipal utility work. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
