Site work and paving for a civil project in Butler, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of April 08, 2026, the project was awarded to JM Construction, with an awarded amount of $1,070,448.25. The work generally consists of restoration, traffic control, erosion and dust control, pavement sawing, milling of 2,168 LF, removal of 768 SY of pavement, excavation and grading (4,346 CY), excavation below subgrade (339 CY), removal of concrete curb and gutter, removal of 204 SY of concrete sidewalk, removal of 273 SY of driveway pavement, placement of dense graded base (608 TON of 1 1/4", 121 TON of 3/4"), installation of 991 LF of 30° concrete curb and gutter, construction of 1,774 SF of 5" concrete sidewalk, 260 SY of 7" concrete driveway, 40 SF of curb ramp detectable warning field, placement of 1,156 TON of bituminous concrete surface (5 LT 58-28 S), 2,132 TON of bituminous concrete binder (3 LT 58-28 S), 16 manhole adjustments, 10 valve adjustments, installation of 7 6" gate valves and boxes, 179 LF of 6" dia PVC water main (granular backfill), 2 6" insertion gate valves, 3 B gate valves and boxes, 1,765 LF of 8" dia PVC water main (granular backfill), installation of 6 hydrants, 168 LF of 1.00 copper water service, 6 connections to existing water main, water main abandonment, 743 LF of 15" dia sanitary sewer CIPP lining, 14 test and seal lateral connections, 47 LF of 24" epoxy pavement marking (white), 217 LF of 6" pavement marking (white), 83 LF of 18" pavement marking stop line, and 40 LF of curb pavement marking (epoxy, yellow). Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Village of Butler in an amount of 5 percent (5%) of the bidder's maximum bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish required bonds within 10 days after the award, the check or bid bond will be forfeited as liquidated damages. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid form with all blanks filled in for acceptance. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days from the bid opening. All bidders must file a bidder's qualification statement with the Village Clerk by the specified deadline unless already submitted for 2026. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work, disregard nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids, and accept the bid(s) which best serve the interests of the Village. All project work must be substantially completed within 120 calendar days of notice to proceed. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer.
