Project involves approximately 15,910 S.Y. of pavement pulverizing, shaping and grading, base patching, concrete curb and gutter replacement, asphalt binder and surface course paving, catch basin repairs, underdrain installation, ditching, restoration, erosion control and traffic control. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Project is located in Village of Merton and extends from Longview Street to approximately 235' south of Meadowlark Lane along Hibritten Way, from termini to Hawthorne Road along Meadowlark Lane, from Hawthorne Road to termini along Highland Court, from Blackhawk Drive to termini along Darles Court, Broadwing Court and Nestling Court. A portion of this work is part of a Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) Project. All work is included in a single prime contract. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. Village of Merton reserves the right to accept the most advantageous bid, or to reject any and all bids. Award of work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bids shall be accompanied by a bond or certified check payable to Village of Merton equal to 5 percent of the bid. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the check or bid bond may be forfeited to Village of Merton as liquidated damages.
