The project consists of installing a new traffic signal at the following intersections in the Town of Guttenberg, Hudson County, New Jersey: 1. 68th Street & Jackson Street 2. 70th Street & Jackson Street 3. 70th Street & Jackson Street 4. Palisade Avenue & 68th Street The project also consists of resurfacing the existing roadway in the Town of Guttenberg, Hudson County, New Jersey: 1. Jackson Street 2. Polk Street 3. 70th Street 4. 68th Street 5. Palisade Avenue 1. Demolition, removal, and proper disposal of existing traffic signal equipment, including signal heads, pedestrian signal heads, poles, mast arms, junction boxes, and signal hardware. 2. Furnishing and installation of new traffic signal heads, pedestrian signal heads, and supporting poles, including foundations, wiring, conduits, and necessary hardware, at the locations indicated in the plans. 3. Removal of existing pavement markings, lane lines, crosswalks, and traffic signs at locations specified in the project plans. 4. Installation of new pavement markings and traffic signs in accordance with the project plans and MUTCD standards. 5. Demolition and removal of existing curbs, sidewalks, or curb ramps, if applicable, at locations specified in the project plans. 6. Construction of new concrete vertical curbs, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant curb ramps, designed and installed in compliance with the project plans and applicable accessibility standards (PROWAG or local ADA requirements). 7. Milling and overlaying asphalt pavement. 8. All related incidental work, including traffic control, dust control, soil erosion control, cleaning and restoration. Bids must be prepared on the form supplied, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name and address, and reference to the work bid upon. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but not more than $20,000.00 of the total amount bid, as well as a certificate letter from a surety company for a completion bond. The award is contingent upon the Town securing necessary funding and permits.
