The Town of Mountain Village is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide the necessary materials, labor, specialized skills, and experience to paint all towers and designated terminal components on the gondola system. The intent is to identify and select a contractor or consultant best qualified to perform the required services in accordance with the specifications outlined. Question Deadline 03/03/2026 at 12:00 AM MT All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing via email to: Conor Intemann at cintemann@mtnvillage.org SCOPE OF SERVICES The selected proposer shall be expected to perform the following tasks, including but not limited to: 1. Surface Preparation o Remove peeling or failed paint as required o Remove rust and corrosion from affected areas o Prime repaired areas prior to finish coating o Mask off galvanized crossarms and ladders to eliminate overspray Surface preparation shall be consistent with industry best practices for steel structural repainting in alpine environments. 2. Painting o Apply finish coating to all 38 - 30" gondola towers Tower Paint: Catylon 830, Gun Metal Gray Estimated Quantity: Approximately 70 gallons (contractor responsible for final quantity verification) o Paint terminal front masts o Paint terminal decks exposed to sunlight o Paint trumpet rails (paint system to be proposed by vendor to match existing) Proposers may recommend alternative systems provided they demonstrate equal or superior durability for high-elevation exposure. 3. Equipment & Access o Contractor shall provide all specialized equipment including but not limited to: o Snowmobiles, ATVs, High reach man lifts Town Responsibilities (for coordination purposes only): o Provide up to 20 hours of forklift assistance with operator o Provide truck access to the top gondola station no later than April 27, 2026 o Provide access to gondola "work chair" and operating personnel after May 2, 2026 foaccess to hard-to-reach towers o Provide climate-controlled storage space for contractor materials, accept delivery of supplies.
