The work consists of providing all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to scrape, degrease, pressure wash, and pump grease traps at the Temple VA and Waco Doris Miller VA campuses. Services at the Temple VA include quarterly pumping and scraping of grease traps at Buildings 163 and 202, covering up to 6,750 gallons, with three quarterly services performed without power washing and one annual service including power washing. Emergency services include up to five calls per year with pumping of up to 3,000 gallons per emergency and a required four-hour response time. Three grease pits at Building 163 must be pumped and cleaned, with degreaser use required and work stoppage at the Government's direction if foul odors occur. Services at the Waco VA include quarterly scraping and pumping of grease traps at Buildings 4, 91, 202, and 226, covering up to 3,000 gallons, with three quarterly services without power washing and one annual service including power washing. Emergency services include up to five calls per year with pumping of up to 2,000 gallons and a four-hour response time. Contractors must inspect all grease and grit traps before beginning work, pump all Canteen Services grease traps, remove piping as needed to remove excess grease, pump the grit trap outside Building 226, and use a non-biohazard degreasing chemical. Inspection reports must be submitted to the City of Waco and the VA Engineering Department. The contractor is responsible for establishing barriers and safety measures, coordinating scheduling with designated CORs, performing all work during normal business hours unless otherwise approved, and ensuring workmanship compliant with City of Temple and City of Waco grease interceptor ordinances. Disposal of grease, sludge, and waste is the contractor's responsibility, and all debris must be removed after services. Final walkthroughs with the COR are required, and service reports with mandated forms and manifests must be provided. Tags indicating cleaning and next service date must be affixed to each system.
