Sealed bids are requested for work comprising improvements at Alburnett City Park, City of Alburnett, IA. Work must commence within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed, which will be issued no later than April 13, 2026, and must be completed within one hundred (100) working days. Liquidated damages in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) will be assessed for each working day the work remains incomplete. Each bidder is required to provide bid security in an amount equal to 5 percent of the total bid. The bidder shall not include sales tax in the bid. The City will provide tax exemption certificates and authorization letters to the Contractor and all identified subcontractors. Preference shall be given to domestic construction materials and, where legally applicable, to products and labor from Iowa. Minority business enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin. The Project shall consist of: This project consists of all materials, equipment, transportation and labor necessary for the construction of a park at 330 Roosevelt Street in Alburnett, IA. Work includes the construction PCC sidewalk, HMA pickleball court, and playground equipment. Also included in the project is site grading, underground utilities, seeding, and erosion control. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications.
