New construction of an industrial development in Cresco, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 12,400-square-foot industrial development.
Sealed bids are solicited for the construction of a new county shop consisting of a 155' x 80' pre-engineered steel building. Optional items include an 80' x 25' wash bay and in-floor heating (tube placement only) for 10,495 square feet. The work is to be completed per provided plans, specifications, and applicable current building codes for the region and State of Iowa. Each proposal must include a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount specified in the proposal form. Proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the County, sealed, and plainly marked. Proposals that contain reservations not provided for in the forms may be rejected, and those not obtained directly from the County may also be rejected. The County reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids. Bidders must comply with special provisions regarding qualifications and the subletting or assigning of the contract. Sales tax exemption certificates will be issued for qualifying material purchases. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act compliance is required, ensuring nondiscrimination. Liquidated damages apply for each phase if not completed on time.
