Demolition, site work and paving for a road / highway in Rathdrum, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a road / highway; and road / highway.
The work consists of demolition/removal of 4,300 yd2 of existing asphalt pavement, construction of 780 tons of asphalt pavement over 1,450 tons of stone subbase, placement of 1,700 yd2 of geotextile fabric, installation of 350 LF of concrete curbs, and placement of pavement markings. All bids must be submitted as sealed proposals. Bids delivered by facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted. Each bid must be valid for 60 days after the bid opening date. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total price is required in the form of a cashier's or certified check, bid bond, or cash. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract price, will be required from the successful contractor. A Public Works Contractor License for the State of Idaho is required to submit a bid. The City reserves the right to retain bids for up to 60 days, waive informalities, and award or reject bids as deemed to the City's advantage. Question Deadline 03/02/2026: If any person who contemplates submitting a bid for the proposed Contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Plans, Specifications, or other proposed Contract Documents, then they may submit to the Owner a written request for an interpretation thereof. Written requests received less than 10 days prior to bid date may not be answered.
