The contract generally includes the following work items on Main Street in the City of Essex Junction: supply and install 850 square yards of 4-inch thick new cement concrete sidewalk; supply and install 200 square yards of 6-inch thick new cement concrete sidewalk; supply and install 515 linear feet of 4-inch perforated SDR 35 PVC pipe; supply and install 4 Nyloplast drain basins or approved equal; supply and install 100 square feet of detectable warning surface; supply and install 350 cubic yards of plant mixed gravel; supply and install 100 cubic yards of topsoil; supply and install 750 square yards of lawn area restoration. All work will be in accordance with Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents and information prepared by the City of Essex Junction. Sealed bids on forms prepared by the Engineer are required. Digital Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents may be obtained by emailing the specified contact. Prospective bidders must be added to the Plan Holder List and review project information on the provided Sharepoint site. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in an amount equal to at least five percent of the bid, payable to the City of Essex Junction, as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance, Labor, and Material Payment Bonds within ten days after the award. Acceptable formats for the Bid Guaranty are bid bond or certified check. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the opening. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids.
