Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in New Lebanon, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Board of Education of New Lebanon Local School District is requesting proposals for parking lot milling and resurfacing at Dixie High School. The project involves milling and removing approximately 1.5 inches of existing asphalt pavement, removing all milled material, preparing the surface, applying a tack coat, furnishing and installing 1.5 inches of new hot mix asphalt, and striping pavement markings according to Owner specifications and ADA requirements. All work must adhere to industry best practices to ensure long-term pavement durability, proper drainage, and a clean finish. Quantities are approximate and the contractor must verify all field conditions. The intent is a complete, uniform, and functional pavement surface, including any incidental work necessary. The contractor must provide a one-year warranty for materials and workmanship. The selected company must have liability insurance of at least $1,000,000, proof of current workmen's compensation, and preferably five years of business experience in parking lot resurfacing. The school district is exempt from taxes and payment will be made in full within 30 days after project completion and invoicing. No changes to the bid amount are allowed post-award. A performance bond is only required if the contractor asks for a deposit before completion. Bidders must familiarize themselves with the facility, avoid damage, and ensure prompt completion for needed usage. Proposals must be submitted by mail, email, or hand delivery by the stated deadline.
