Renovation of a stadium in Canton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
The work includes the replacement of the existing Stadium wood ADA ramp and landings, and the repair of the Stadium locker room south wall. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois and United States laws, including but not limited to the Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act and the Prevailing Wage Act. Bids must include a notarized certification that the contractor is not barred from bidding due to violations of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295. Certification is included in the Proposal Form in the Project Manual. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amounting to 5% of the Base Bid, payable to the Board of Education, Canton Union School District #66, or they will be rejected. The successful bidder must provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract cost, with bonds to be issued on prescribed forms within ten days after notice of acceptance. The surety must be authorized and licensed to do business in Illinois and be U.S. Treasury backed, and the contractor must pay the bond premiums. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after opening.
