INCLUDE STAGE FLOORING (REFINISH) RIGGING, LIGHTING, AND CURTAINS.  RENOVATE SCIENCE LABS TO INCLUDE NEW FLOORING, CASEWORK, CEILINGS, LIGHTS, DOORS, FIXTURES, EQUIPMENT AND FINISHES. INCLUDES PREP ROOM. The project is for Renovations and Alterations at Somerville High School, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the Bid Documents. Bids will be received for a Single Overall Contract. The Bidder must be classified in the following discipline: DPMC: C009 Prime Contractor with C029, C030, C032, C047 Subcontractors. Bid Proposals must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a separate sealed envelope for each contract, addressed to the Owner, bearing the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid number on the outside. Each proposal must include (1) a bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the Owner equal to 10% of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000, and (2) a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the surety company to provide performance and payment bonds if successful. The surety must be authorized to do business in New Jersey. If the bid exceeds $20,000, the bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the required classifications. Bidders and their prime subcontractors who do not possess a valid "Notice of Classification" may be declared ineligible. The project is subject to the New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act. All bidders must comply with applicable statutes and regulations regarding discrimination, workforce reporting, public works contractor registration, and business registration. No bidder on the state or federal debarred list is eligible to bid. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening.
