The work to be performed includes the milling and resurfacing, curb, sidewalk and driveway replacement, ADA curb ramp upgrades, installation of curb pieces and bicycle safe grates, drainage improvements, and other incidentals on various roads within the Township as outlined in the contract documents. For the alternate bid, the work includes milling and resurfacing, spot curb, sidewalk and driveway replacement, installation of curb pieces and bicycle safe grates, drainage improvements, and other incidentals at Mahwah High School. Each bid must be made on prescribed forms included in the contract drawings and specifications, with a non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form. Bids must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than 10% of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the accepted bid amount. Bidders must comply with requirements regarding equal employment opportunity and disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name and address, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the project. All bids shall be irrevocable and stand available for 60 days.
