Location of contract work includes County buildings near or within the City of Hillsboro, and various properties within Jefferson County not limited to the City of Hillsboro area. Proposed service includes septic troubleshooting, repair, installation/replacement of septic systems, lift stations and pumps and pump systems, and pumping out of septic systems. Contract work could include, but is not limited to: troubleshooting and repairing septic systems; providing recommendations on septic system repair versus replacement; septic system or section replacement; installation of new septic systems and all components of the system, lift stations, pumps, etc.; system pump outs and clean outs; and all applicable labor, materials, and equipment. Service request hours shall be 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday with a three-day response time to complete the request, and emergency and holiday request hours as needed with a four-hour response time to complete the work. All work must be done in accordance with best trade practices, safety regulations, and all applicable state and local laws, ordinances, and codes. Letters of interest should not exceed four pages total, and three copies should be received at the address specified. The letter should include information such as company experience, history, testimonials, certifications, and recent examples of work performed in the requested services. Jefferson County will evaluate companies based on experience and competence, capacity to perform the work in the timeframe needed, and past record of performance.
