This project involves the renovation of the existing 5,300 SF ECTC Bookstore into a teaching kitchen for the college's Culinary Arts program. The new spaces will include a full commercial teaching kitchen, demonstration lab, dining room, and support spaces. Primary architectural and interiors materials will include resilient tile, LVT, FRP, painted gypsum, and ACT. A packaged rooftop unit will provide heating and cooling for the kitchen, with other rooms served by modifications to the existing VAV reheat system using new terminal units. The kitchen ventilation system will include a hood, makeup air units, and exhaust fans. New electrical panels dedicated to the Culinary Arts area will be fed from nearby existing switchgear. An underground grease interceptor will be installed to the west of the building, and a water softener will serve the kitchen hot and cold water. Free downloads of job materials are available to contractors. Hard copy plan sets and spec books are available for purchase. Contractors are encouraged to place their order through the specified system to ensure receipt of addenda notifications. Failure to order through the designated provider and not being on the plan holders list will prevent notification and access to addenda. Request for Information - During Construction (RFI) is a document where the Contactor may request clarifications, decisions, explanations, etc. from the Architect-Engineer about issues relating to the Contract Documents and the Work.
