De Soto #73 School District is requesting competitive proposals from vendors for Pour-in-Place Playground Surfacing. Proposals will be accepted no later than 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The underlayment should be a material other than concrete to reduce costs unless concrete is less expensive than the alternative being presented by the vendor. The district would like to add the pour-in-place surfacing to two (2) specific areas on the Athena Elementary playground located at 3775 Athena School Road in De Soto, Missouri. The surfacing material color should be color matched as close as possible with the current pour-in-place surfacing at the existing Athena Elementary School playground. The district knows it may be cost prohibitive to complete both areas and thus reserves the right to select one area, or both areas from a single vendor depending on the cost. Area A is approximately 2,567 Sq. Feet and Area B is approximately 3,498 Sq. Feet. The total Square footage is 6,065 for the total project.
