Renovation of a museum in Fremont, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a museum.
**As of April 2, 2026, bids received were rejected. No definite date for the rebid.** The project is located at 34600 Ardenwood Blvd, Fremont, CA 94555 and consists of the removal of the existing roof shingles and underlayment in their entirety, with the existing roof sheathing to remain. The work includes installing new underlayment and wood roof shingles to establish a reliable and long-lasting roofing system, as well as performing all other associated work specified in the plans and specifications. Bidders are required to have a valid California contractor's license for classification(s) C39 and any other specialty licenses needed for the project. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations prior to submitting a bid. Each bid must be submitted using the provided forms, accompanied by a bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check or a bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price. Each bidder must submit a completed Subcontractor List form, including details on each subcontractor performing work exceeding one-half of 1% of the bid price. The contract is subject to prevailing wage requirements and compliance monitoring. The City reserves the right to waive nonmaterial bid irregularities, accept or reject any bids, or abandon the project entirely. All bid prices must include all costs to perform the work as specified, including taxes, insurance, and field offices. All bid forms must be fully completed and signed as directed, with attachments including: Bid Proposal, Bid Schedule, Subcontractor List, Noncollusion Declaration, and Bid Security. Faxed or emailed Bid Proposals will not be accepted. Late submissions will be returned unopened. There is a mandatory bidders' conference at the project site, and failure to attend may result in disqualification from bidding. Question Deadline 03/02/2026 at 2:00 PM PT
