Renovation of an educational facility in Nampa, Idaho. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
All bid questions and substitution requests need to be submitted by end of day, Wednesday, March 4th to be included in the final addendum. That addendum will be issued on Friday, March 6th. Skyview High School Improvements - 1303 E. Greenhurst Rd Nampa, ID 83686 The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality or irregularity, and award a contract that is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of (100%) of the Contract amount will be required within (10) days after receipt of a properly prepared agreement between Beniton and the Trade Contractor. Costs for bonds shall be included within the Base Bid of the trade contractor's bid amount. The Owner will suffer financial loss if the Project is not Substantially Complete on the date set forth in the Contract Documents. The Trade Contractor (and its Surety) shall be liable for and shall pay to Beniton Construction the sums hereinafter stipulated as fixed, agreed and liquidated damages of Two Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($2,000) for each calendar day of delay beyond Substantial Completion. The Owner will suffer loss if submittals are not processed in a timely manner. All submittals are due no later than 30 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The Trade Contractor/Supplier shall pay Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($500) for each calendar day of delay until the submittals are received by the Construction Manager. Bid Package No. 01: Selective Demolition Division 1 n General Requirements 024116 n Structure Demolition NOTES: 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Selective Demolition work. 2. All interior demolition is the responsibility of this package. Demolish and dispose of all items within the building as shown on A3.70. The following demolition is not included in this package: a. VCT Flooring, Walk Off Carpet, and Stair Treads/Risers b. Existing Hollow Metal Storefront/Entrances c. Plumbing d. HVAC e. Electrical 3. Provide sawcutting as required for your demolition. 4. Includes removal of the tile, base, and tile bedding at the existing restrooms. 5. Properly remove and dispose of material. Include all fees required. 6. Any power required above 50 Amp, 240V single-phase is the responsibility of this package. 7. Take note of the Project Schedule included in the Project Manual. Provide floor protection (Ram Board or equivalent) at 1st floor hallways. The VCT at the 2nd floor hallways will be demolished and then the flooring later ground and polished Summer 2026, so no floor protection is needed. The 1 st floor hallway flooring improvements do not happen until Summer 2027, so the existing flooring needs protected. All of your work occurs during Summer 2026. 8. Protect adjacent finishes from your activities and repair any items damaged by your work. 9. Includes daily clean-up and haul off of debris. Bid Package No. 02: Doors, Frames, & Hardware NOTES: 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Doors, Frames, & Hardware work. 2. Take note of the Project Schedule included within this Project Manual. Provide expedited submittals and shipping as required to meet the project milestones. 3. Provide new door leaf at existing frames as specified in the door schedule and drawings. 4. Demolition of existing doors will be by others. 5. Furnish all hardware in section 087100 for Storefront Entrances (including delivery to the Storefront Contractoris local warehouse), installation will be by others. 6. Includes all bondo required for a smooth finish at existing doors frames receiving new hardware. 7. Includes daily cleanup and removal of debris. Bid Package No. 03: Storefront & Glazing 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Storefront & Glazing work. 2. Furnish and install ALL flashings and break metal for your work. 3. Include all demolition of the existing hollow metal storefront/glazing that will be replaced by your new systems. Provide proper coordination, and any temporary measures needed, to ensure existing facility remains secure and protected from weather events. 4. Includes the architectural sill flashing to match adjacent windows (see detail D7/A6.00). 5. Provide caulking (inside and out) associated with your work. 6. All hardware for Storefront Entrances within section 087100 will be furnished by others and installed by this package. This package includes the receiving of this hardware at your local warehouse. 7. Provide raceways within your assemblies. Include coordination with the access control contractor for requirements of raceway locations/sizing. 8. Furnish and install all low voltage wiring, transformers, and accessories beyond the line voltage connection for a complete operating system. 9. Field verify all openings and coordinate with Construction Manager and other Trades. 10. Includes cleanup and removal of debris. Bid Package No. 04: Tile 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Tile work. 2. Provide any prep needed where all floor tile/bedding was removed by others. 3. Include a pre-manufactures washout it for your use. Properly dispose of debris upon completion of the project. 4. Provide caulking associated with your work. 5. Includes cleanup and removal of debris. Bid Package No. 05: Floor Covering 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Floor Covering work. 2. The demolition and haul off of the existing flooring and base at Polished Concrete areas will be by others. This package includes the demolition and removal at areas where you will be providing new floor coverings (walk off carpet, stair treads/landings, etc). 3. Take note of the Project Schedule included in the Project Manual. The majority of your work will occur during Summer 2026. The Summer 2027 work will be new rubber base at the polished concrete areas at the 1 st Floor. All other work occurs Summer 2026. 4. Includes cleaning and prep of concrete substrate as required. 5. For bidding purposes, include high-moisture adhesive will be required at the walk-off carpet areas. 6. Provide new thresholds and floor transition strips as indicated on the drawings and as required. Includes transition strips at all areas (including polished concrete areas) where dissimilar flooring types meet. 7. Include a $2,500 allowance for misc. flooring and base patchback above and beyond what is shown on the plans and noted above. 8. Includes cleanup and removal of debris. Bid Package No. 06: Concrete Grind & Polish 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Concrete Grind and Polish work. 2. Includes the demolition and haul off of the existing VCT and other flooring/base at your polished concrete areas. Demo of areas to receive flooring other than polished concrete will be by the Flooring Contractor. 3. Take note of the Project Schedule included in the Project Manual. The 2 nd Floor work will occur during Summer 2026, and the 1 st Floor work during Summer 2027. 4. Furnish, install, and later remove protective floor covering at polished areas. Coordinate locations with Construction Manager. 5. Protect adjacent finishes and include any replacement/repair required for damage caused by your activities. 6. Provide joint treatment associated with your work at field and perimeter joint. 7. Includes cleaning and prep of concrete substrate as required. Includes edges and joints. 8. Take note of ramps within the 1 st Floor Hallway at the Auditorium Entrance. Provide all measures required to grind and polish these areas. This is above and beyond the allowance in Note #10 below. 9. Any power required above 50 Amp, 240V single-phase is the responsibility of this package. 10. Include an allowance of $7,500 in your base bid to cover any crack repair or other damage. 11. Includes cleanup and removal of debris Bid Package No. 07: Painting 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Painting work. 2. Paint ALL unfinished items identified as needing paint. Provide proper prep of existing surfaces to ensure adhesion. 3. Caulk the interior door frames (both sides). 4. Unless otherwise noted, paint all existing walls and ceilings effected by construction to the nearest corner or transition point. 5. Take note of painting requirements at existing stair components. 6. Includes painting of hollow metal doors and frames at renovated restrooms and any other areas where delineated. 7. Protect all adjacent finishes/items from your painting activities. 8. Includes cleanup and removal of debris. 9. Include an allowance of $2,500 in your bid for misc. painting above and beyond what is specified in the bid documents and noted above. Bid Package No. 08: Specialties 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Specialties work. 2. Includes installation of owner-furnished toilet accessories as shown on the drawings. 3. Take note of the Project Schedule included within this Project Manual. Provide expedited submittals and shipping as required to meet the project milestones. 4. Includes caulking associated with your work. 5. Includes cleanup and removal of debris. Bid Package No. 09: Plumbing 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the Plumbing work. 2. Includes all permits and fees related to this work. 3. Provide demolition, haul off, and reconfiguration of all plumbing items as shown on the drawings. Reference both Plumbing and Architectural plans for the extent required. 4. Reset existing floor drains to correspond with sloping of new tile floors. 5. Includes all core drilling required for this work. 6. Includes all caulking and firestopping required for your work. 7. Includes cleanup and removal of debris. Bid Package No. 10: HVAC 1. Provide all labor, material, and equipment to complete the HVAC work. 2. Includes all permits and fees related to this work. 3. Provide demolition, haul off, and reconfiguration of all HVAC items as shown on the drawings. Reference both Mechanical and Architectural plans for the extent required. 4. Provide all work required at roof/curbs to ensure a complete, weathertight assembly. 5. Includes seismic bracing as required by code. 6. Coordinate locations of all penetrations with other trades. 7. Includes all caulking and firestopping required for your work. 8. Includes cleanup and removal of debris. The demolition of the existing VCT flooring and rubber base at the Polished Concrete areas on the 1st floor. Grinding and Polishing of the 1st floor where shown. New Rubber Base at the polished concrete areas on the 1st floor.
