At which hour or as soon as possible thereafter, the City Clerk of North Platte, Nebraska, will proceed to open in a public letting, and consider the bids received for the construction of the aforesaid improvements. Bids shall be an aggregate on all work to be performed, broken down to accurately reflect unit prices for all estimated quantities. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of the City Clerk and the City Engineer. Bids will be received only on the proposal forms furnished by the City Engineer. The work consists of approximately 7,000 cubic yards of excavation, 30,000 cubic yards of fill, 22,500 square yards of 8" doweled Portland cement concrete paving, 3,900 square yards of 6" concrete bike trail, 930 lineal feet of storm sewer pipe, and related appurtenances. Bids should be aggregate for all work, itemized to reflect unit prices for all estimated quantities. Only proposal forms furnished by the City Engineer will be accepted. Each proposal must include a Cashier's Check, Bid Bond, or Certified Check for 5% of the bid amount as a guarantee of good faith, payable to the City Treasurer. Bidders must also submit a statement declaring compliance with fair labor standards, which must be maintained throughout the contract. The City reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids.
